The Woodbridge Vikings assisted 17 of their 22 field goals Saturday during a 54-43 victory over the Paul VI (Haddonfield, New Jersey) girls basketball team during the She Got Game Classic at Athletic Republic Capitol Region in District Heights, Maryland.
Taelor Willard, Camryn Platt-Morris and Aaliyah Pitts provided five assists each to keep the Vikings undefeated at 6-0. Pitts also had 12 points while Alia Denwiddie had 11, Willard had 10 and Olivia brooks had seven with Adaija Bender and Vanessa Laumbach adding six each.
Bender also had eight rebounds and three blocks, while Pitts had six rebounds and three steals. Brooks added seven rebounds while Laumbach had six and Platt-Morris had five.
Mountain View boys basketball 52, Brentsville 50
Despite 19 points from Sean Cunningham and 18 from Tyler Dindal, the Brentsville Tigers lost to Mountain View’s boys basketball team 52-50 Saturday on the road in Stafford.
Josiah Hogan added 12 rebounds and Cunningham had nine, but Bretnsville’s record fell to 1-5.
Brandon Forst led the Tigers with six assists.
