So top-seeded Brentsville advanced to play No. 4 Warren County in the region final with a 19-3 record and six-game winning streak after ending the season for the No. 2 Dragons. The Tigers, who lost in the state semifinals last season, fell behind in the first inning Tuesday, 2-0, but Jake DeLisi hit an RBI double in the fifth and Michael Haynes hit an RBI double in the sixth to force extra innings.

In the ninth, Luke Binsted scored the winning run on Reid's double after reaching base with two outs as a hit batsman. Offensively, Reid finished with two doubles and a walk on 2-for-4 hitting, while Sam Beard went 3-for-4 and Billy Hoad went 0-for-2 with three walks and a run. Haynes and Binsted each went 1-for-4 while DeLisis went 1-for-5.
