Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park have so far lost 593 residents to COVID-19 as of Wednesday, Sept. 22. The county has so far lost 533 residents since the start of the pandemic, while Manassas has lost 49 and Manassas Park, 11.
Age and gender: Victims include 344 men and 249 women; six were in their 20s, 10 were in their 30s, 26 were in their 40s, 64 were in their 50s, 131 were in their 60s, 147 were in their 70s, and 208 were age 80 or older, according to the Virginia Department of Health.
Race and ethnicity: Of the victims for which race and ethnicity information was available, 234 or 39.7% were white, 181 or 30.9% were Latino, 119 or 20.2% were Black, 48 or 8.1% were Asian or Pacific Islander, one (.2%) was Native American, and seven (1.2%) are listed as other.
The VDH has not released racial and ethnic information on three of the local fatalities.
