Thanksgiving is a day for giving thanks. It can also be called a day when we feel happy and enjoy with family and friends.

We all try to do good deeds everyday as it is really important if we want to lead a good life. One main point of Thanksgiving for me is to thank God for all the blessings He gave to me and a day to remember Him.

But as a Muslim, we thank God every day and there is no special day needed for giving thanks to Him.  So on Thanksgiving, we can do more. We can share our feelings of care with others. We can still celebrate Thanksgiving by giving thanks to people with feast and prayer.

Let’s try to do more and more good deeds and help others.  On Thanksgiving Day, it would be great to give to the poor. If we all do so, we can help a lot of people and give them the opportunity to celebrate this holiday like others.

“And God will certainly reward the grateful.” (Holy Qur’an, 3:145).

Happy Thanksgiving!
