UPDATED: A 31-year-old Nokesville man was killed Saturday morning when his pickup truck collided head on with a box truck at the intersection of Va. 28 and Fauquier Drive, according to Prince William police.

The crash occurred at 6:11 a.m. Saturday, July 7.

Dylan Christopher Davis, 31, of Nokesville, was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries he sustained in the crash.

Davis was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger, according to a Prince William County police press release.

A 48-year-old Fredericksburg man was driving the box truck, a 2013 Ford. He was transported via ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries, the press release said.

The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, the press release said.

More information will be released when available. The investigation continues. 

Original story: Prince William County police are investigating a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Nokesville Road and Fauquier Drive this morning that killed one person and required another to be flown to the hospital with serious injuries.

The  crash was reported by Prince William police  just before 7 a.m. Saturday, July 7. The intersection is closed in both directions.

Further details are not yet available.

Officers ask motorists in the area to use caution and follow police directions.
