Candidates for the Democratic nomination in three local races on the ballot in the June 11th primary will participate in a candidates’ forum tonight.
The forum will take place at the City of Manassas City Council Chambers at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 31. Candidates who have agreed to participate include:
- Del. Lee Carter and Manassas City Councilman Mark Wolfe. Wolfe is challenging Carter for their party’s nomination in the 50th District state delegate’s race.
- Amy Ashworth and Tracey Lennox, two private Manassas attorneys who are vying for the Democratic nomination in the race for Prince William County commonwealth’s attorney.
- Josh King and Dumfries Town Councilman Brian Fields, who are competing for their party’s nomination for in the race for Prince William County sheriff.
The forum is being hosted by Manassas and Manassas Park, Prince William County and Brentsville Magisterial District Democratic Committees.
