The Fox 5 TV crew visited Haymarket on Friday for one of their weekly "Zip Trips" around the Washington, D.C., area.

Traffic was diverted from the street in front of town hall for the broadcast.

A petting zoo, inflatable bounces, food trucks and information booths were set up on the street and the lawn in front of town hall during the morning-long visit.

Fox 5 features different communities in the Washington, D.C. area each week of the summer during its “Zip Trip” visits.

Members of the audience came ready with placards they could show in the background when the cameras were trained on the Zip Trip anchors.

A petting zoo on the lawn in front of Haymarket town hall kept kids occupied and attracted the interest of a TV camera crew as well.

Musicians from rock to country entertained the crowd that turned out for the Zip Trip visit.

Students from the Gainesville Dance Center performed for those who came to be part of the Zip Trip visit.
