Generic police lights

City of Manassas police are investigating a stabbing that took place Monday night along Grant Avenue.

Officers responded to the 9600 block of Grant Avenue at 9:23 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5.

Upon arrival, they found an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound, according to Officer Sarah Maroney, spokeswoman for the City of Manassas Police Department.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital and is in stable condition, Maroney said in a news release.

There are no known suspects. At this time, the incident appears isolated and there is no threat to the community, Maroney said.

The investigation is ongoing.

This area needs to be cleaned up including specifically Holmes Heights and Joe’s Pizza of all of the vagrants who loiter in both areas.
