A 72-year-old man is wanted in connection with sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl in 2013, Prince William County police said.
On Sept. 14, 2018, detectives from the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit, in conjunction with Child Protective Services, began an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the Woodbridge area between June and August 2013, Prince William County police spokeswoman Renee Carter said in a news release.
Police said a 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance, identified as Luis Jesus Barajas.
“The victim recently disclosed the encounter prompting the police investigation,” Carr said in news release.
On Tuesday, May 28, detectives from the Special Victims Unit obtained an arrest warrant charging Barajas with object sexual penetration, but authorities have been unable to locate him.
Barajas, 72, is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 150 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. His address is unknown.
