Join the Jets and the Sharks in this modern day musical set in New York City and based on the classic tale of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. West Side Story-School Edition is an award-winning classic tragedy of feuding families combines outstanding music and dance numbers including: "Jet Song", "Dance at the Gym", and "Tonight".  Directed by David Johnson, music directed by Sarah Jane Scott, and choreographed by Shania Stewart. 

Performances are in the Gregory Theater of the Hylton Performing Arts Center Friday, August 16 at 7pm and Saturday, August 17 at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are available at

Based on a conception by Jerome Robbins with music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Arthur Laurent. Entire original production directed and choreographed by Robert E. Griffeth & Harold S. Prince by arrangement with Roger L. Stevens. West Side Story-School Edition is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
